This policy describes accepted content, applied checks and available appeals. It supplements the terms of use and terms of sale.
Principles and scope
Moderation protects a useful, safe and readable map against impersonation, unlawful content and link farms. It may cover names, profile type, URLs and redirects, final domains, copy, logos, geographic relevance and technical or public signals. Approval is neither certification nor endorsement.
Impersonation and proof of authority
Users must not present themselves as a person, brand or organisation without authority. BumpHop may request proof of domain control, a professional address, evidence of authority or proportionate documentation. Documents are used only to review the request and are protected.
Prohibited content and destinations
Prohibited material includes unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, hateful, violent or sexually explicit content; harassment; infringement; malware; phishing; pyramid schemes; unauthorised gambling; unlawfully offered regulated goods; opaque redirects; parked domains; aggregators with no original value; and link farms.
First approval and reuse
A new normalised URL is checked automatically before payment. It may be published immediately when every check completes without a risk signal; otherwise, it is reviewed by a person. Once approved, another placement or bid using the same URL may be automatic. Later review remains possible if the destination changes.
Profile changes
A material change, including URL, identity or logo, may be reviewed again. The previous value is retained in the audit history for comparison. The approved public version may remain visible during review.
Possible action
BumpHop may request corrections, decline to publish a website, disable a link, hide or suspend a page, remove a spot, restrict an account, retain necessary evidence or report matters to authorities. Protective action may be taken without notice where there is a serious risk.
Reporting
Reports should identify the profile and URL, explain the facts and rights relied upon, include available evidence and provide contact details. Official reporting details will appear in the legal notice before launch.
Appeals
Where permitted by law and security requirements, owners or reporting parties receive reasons for decisions. They may request a free review for six months. Appeals are handled diligently under human supervision and decisions may be upheld, amended or reversed.
Records
Decisions, reasons, previous versions and information needed for security, appeals and legal defence are retained for a proportionate period with access limited to authorised persons.
